Ric: Colour, light and vision
A set of images that explores the relationship between the concepts of colour, light and vision.
If you have ever tried to produce technically accurate images in a digital format you will understand the underlying motivations for this project. This applies particularly to the kind of vector based work where questions concerning accuracy of measurement, colour and tone need to be addressed.
This project takes colour, light and vision as a starting point and begins a process of mapping out dimensions within the fields of philosophy, science, art and design and then goes on to look at how that cartographic enquiry might be expressed visually.
The first half of the project will be largely concerned with technical issues and practical decisions. The second half will put that work to the test through the creation of a set of diagrams and illustrations.
