100 Days Project

Catherine's Garden: To capture my garden’s transformation from winter to spring.

It is mid winter and my garden lies dormant and neglected. Over the next 100 days I will record it's progress and mine as we both wake up to spring!
This is not only going to teach me an awful lot about gardening but also about downloading images. I can see I am going to learn a lot!

Day 41:

Getting around to it

This morning before work I planted out some calendula plants. Calendula is part of the marigold family. The petals can be eaten in salads and they have antiseptic properties. I have always wanted to have some of these brightly coloured flowers in the garden, but have never gotten around to it. Now finally I'm doing it!

It was drizzling a little with rain this morning and I knew I was faced with a long day at work so I put my hanging baskets and my seedlings out in the rain to get some water. Watering from the rain always seems to work so much better.
