'You tell him, darling. I can't say it in French.'
We live in France. My son is bilingual but I am certainly not. As a 3 year old he has the natural tendency to sometimes come to me for help in social situations. Someone has the toy he wants, or isn't letting anyone else have a turn on the slide, or whatever. I probably could talk to the difficult kids myself, but truth is, I'm embarrassed to use my poor accent/phrasing with little fluent kids who at 3 years old speak better than me.
